About
Launched in 2024, Clean Air Nebraska (CAN) provides a lending library of virus safety and accessibility tools, educates the community about the intersection of equity and clean air, and offers resources that bolster radical accessibility.
Our lending library of tools includes HEPA air filters, CO2 monitors, far-UVC lights, and accessibility tools. Whenever possible, we also try to provide free COVID tests and high-quality masks to our communities.
As a cross-disability led and volunteer-led organization, Clean Air Nebraska (CAN) is committed to disability liberation and responsive, accessible virus safety practices for all in our community, especially those disproportionately impacted by poor air quality and virus transmission. CAN is a collaborative organization dedicated to those who wish to host accessible, virus-safer events in Nebraska, with most of our resources currently located in Eastern Nebraska. CAN actively works towards a future where everyone has all the safety and care they deserve.
At present, we have members in Beatrice, Lincoln, and Omaha! Please note that capacity, services, and lending library tools vary between each location. We especially seek representation and collaboration in Western Nebraska.
